Director of Production UNCSA 2023 Spring season:

UNCSA’s Winter Dance

This production had very minimal departmental involvement which created a deficit in necessary labor. While my role as a Director of Production is normally minimal as a supervisor, I stepped in to ensure the appropriate labor was acquired and facilitated the necessary conversations to ensure a smooth Load-In, Technical Rehearsal Process, and Load-Out.

Mother Courage and Her Children

This piece is currently in it's production phase, where I am serving as a supervisor and consultant to the Production Manager.

Production Manager UNCSA 2021-22 Fall & Spring Season:

Patrons Series: Detroit 67; Two One Acts: The Shawl | Fifth Planet

The Patron Series was a first of its kind at UNCSA with Detroit 67 being the first of three productions. Detroit 67 established the tone and scope of work for each show in the series, including budgetary and departmental involvement.

Devised: Mother Tongue

Devised was an immersive, experimental production produced in the Spring. Mother Tongue was an original work based on Brecht's piece Mother Courage and her Children. Mother Tongue is set in Brazil centered around trash pickers in Sao Paolo. As a Production Manager, it was a delicate balance between allowing the Director to discover the piece through rehearsals and giving designers clear direction while simultaneously allowing the designers world-building to be a fluid process. I facilitated difficult conversations in delicate relationships while ensuring the facility had a functional rigging system. I coordinated the acquisition of a functional rigging system and coordinated the labor needed to install it.

Assistant Production Manager UNCSA 2021 Spring Season:

Neaptide

During the height of the Pandemic, Neaptide was staged, filmed, and live-streamed for audiences on UNCA's website. I assisted the Production Manager with COVID Protocols, communication between several departments, including designers, technicians, and producers, and ensured paperwork was kept up to date.

Assistant Production Manager UNCSA/HBO 2020 Fall Season:

HBO's Homeschool Musical: Class of 2020

This was an exciting Production as it was a first of it's kind! I assisted the Production Manager in communicating between departments, craft services for the film crew, and ensured the restoration of the space after filming had been completed.

Assistant Production Manager Rhinoleap 2021 Fall Season:

The Glass Menagerie

This production of The Glass Menagerie was produced by Rhinoleap and directed by Jeremy Skidmore. This was my introduction to production management and where I learned how effective communication happens between departments. The importance of being reliable and communicative were instilled in me by the Production Manager.

Costume Designer & Wardrobe Supervisor SCAD 2019 Fall Season:

SCAD presents Stream: Dance Production

I co-designed and fabricated many costumes in this original piece inspired by Kurt Weill and the Surrealist movement. The costumes were a combination of pulled pieces, fabricated, and purchased to help create a surreal dreamscape rooted in reality. It was my first time costuming and being a wardrobe supervisor. The experience brought out my leadership skills and motivated me to pursue to management.
